FAQ
Questions? We got answers. Most of them are about the watch. Some of them are not.
What is your return and exchange policy?
Return or exchange your watch within 30 days, no questions asked. We will refund your full purchase price or provide a replacement minus the cost of the return shipping.
What sustainability certifications do Weekend Watch Co. watches carry?
Weekend Watch Co. watches carry two independent sustainability certifications. The bamboo is FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council), which verifies it comes from responsibly managed forests where a tree is planted for every one cut. The manufacturing facility holds ISO 14001 Certification, the international standard for environmental management systems, which ensures the factory meets strict standards for waste reduction and environmental impact. These aren't marketing claims — they're verified by outside bodies.
Is it waterproof? Can I wear it in the shower or swimming?
Weekend Watch Co. watches are splash-resistant and can handle sweat, rain, and the occasional drink spill without issue. They are not rated for swimming, submersion, or showering. The leather strap will degrade faster with repeated water exposure, so yeah, you'll need another option if going snorkeling.
Who is Weekend Watch Co.?
Weekend Watch Co. is an independent watch brand created by two friends who got sold on a simple idea: the watch you wear on the weekends shouldn't track your steps, ping your phone, or cost you a month's rent. The watches are made with FSC Certified bamboo and hand-stitched leather, run on a Miyota Quartz movement, and are built for guys who want a watch that looks good without making it a whole thing. Not some overseas shell corporation or a sub-division of a chemical conglomerate.
How long will it take for watch to arrive?
Standard ground shipping should take 5-7 business days. West Coast addresses will typically be longer vs. locations in the North East.
Will you sell my data or contact information?
No. Never. That would be shitty.
Is bamboo actually a durable material for a watch case?
Bamboo is harder than most hardwoods and has a higher tensile strength than many metals by weight, which makes it a genuinely practical material for a watch casing — not just a sustainability gimmick. Weekend Watch Co. bamboo casings are FSC Certified, meaning the raw material comes from responsibly managed forests verified by an independent third party. The cases are smooth, lightweight, and hold up well to everyday wear.
How do I care for the leather strap?
The hand-stitched leather strap on Weekend Watch Co. watches will look better over time with basic care. Keep it away from prolonged water exposure. If it gets wet, let it air dry — don't use heat. A small amount of leather conditioner once or twice a year will keep it supple, but thats optional. The strap is a standard 20mm width if it ever needs replacing.
Is this a good gift for a guy who isn't really a watch guy?
Weekend Watch Co. watches are designed specifically for guys who don't think about watches — which makes them an ideal gift. There's no learning curve, no charging, no app to download. It goes on the wrist, looks good, and tells time. Simple. Sustainable. Why make it any more complicated than that?
Can I wear this to a formal event or with dress clothes?
The minimal dial, bamboo case, and leather strap read as intentional without being loud. The Blue Chip pairs well with navy and grey suits. The Happy Hour complements brown, tan, and earth-tone dress clothes. The Mamba, being all-black, works with almost everything. For anything business casual and down, these hold up well.
Why bamboo instead of stainless steel or titanium?
Bamboo is lighter than stainless steel, more sustainable than either metal, and looks genuinely different on a wrist without trying to be flashy about it. Most watch brands use steel or titanium and charge accordingly — entry-level steel watches can $200–$500 - and they're usually not even close to worth that much. Bamboo lets us deliver a high-quality, interesting-looking watch at $85 without cutting corners on the movement or strap. Also, bamboo is technically a grass, so you're wearing a grass watch. That's just a fact.
What occasions is this a good gift for?
Weekend Watch Co. watches work for birthdays, Father's Day, Christmas, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, the summer solstice, "sorry your fantasy football team is an abomination" regrets and all your other "just because" moments. We built it to a $85 price point so we could maintain high quality without requiring a payment plan — the bamboo casing and hand-stitched leather strap read as considered, not cheap. Gift-givers on TikTok and Instagram consistently describe it as the kind of present that makes the recipient think real thought went into it.
Does it do anything besides tell time?
Weekend Watch Co. watches tell time and nothing else — intentionally. There is no Bluetooth, no WiFi, no step counter, no heart rate monitor, no sleep tracker, and no notifications. The watch has no connectivity and cannot pair with a phone or any device. It is a watch. That's the entire value proposition.
Does the watch come in a gift box?
Every Weekend Watch comes in a branded, wooden box with the watch placed lovingly around a thatch pillow inside. If you need a better gift box, go to Tiffany's (but don't).
How does the watch get shipped?
All our watches are shipped standard ground in a padded, 4"x 4" brown box. Each box is marked with our logo and shipped directly from our US HQ.
How do I change or replace the strap?
All Weekend Watch Co. watches use a standard 20mm leather strap with spring bar attachments. Any watchmaker, jeweler, or watch retailer can swap it in minutes with a spring bar tool. Replacement straps are widely available online and in stores — leather, NATO, rubber — whatever fits your vibe. The bamboo case works with anything.
Does the watch need to be serviced? What's the maintenance like?
Weekend Watch Co. watches run on a Miyota Quartz movement, which requires virtually no maintenance. The battery lasts approximately 3 years. After that, a jeweler or watch shop can swap a standard CR2016 or equivalent battery in a few minutes. There are no moving parts to service and no software to update over the cloud.
How do I set the time?
To set the time on a Weekend Watch Co. watch, pull the crown — the small knob on the right side of the case — out one click, rotate it until the hands show the correct time, then push it back in until it clicks flush. That's it. The whole process takes about ten seconds.
Will wearing this watch make me better at fantasy football?
No, and the fact that you are asking is a bad sign. Maybe look at points projections and RB depth charts BEFORE the draft starts. Good luck.
